OK EG—a unit renowned as a flagship act of KIA’s label *ANIMALIA* and known for their meticulously crafted dance productions that blend analog gear and digital techniques—makes an appearance on the latest album release from Amsterdam’s prominent label *KALAHARI OYSTER CULT*, which has been consistently delivering standout modern trance and electro tracks. “Circular Arc” (sample 1) achieves a free rhythmic interplay between synthesizers and beats through a masterful sense of space. “Rivulets” (sample 2) features spiral-like synthesis driven by a 4/4 beat, resulting in a trance-like finish. Also featured is “Surface System,” a mutant dubstep track with a strong dub essence. Unbound by format, they offer a unique interpretation of techno minimalism through a “brain dance” approach characterized by complex rhythms, electronic sounds, and subtly shifting soundscapes.
