Gassan, Rvckhimov and Hype Glow release the 'Stay Close' EP on Watergate
Records, bringing together three club tracks across Melodic and Afro House.
The title track 'Stay Close' is the more expansive cut of the EP, pairing a driving Melodic
House groove with widescreen synths and a cinematic feel. It is built for the bigger room,
while keeping the arrangement relatively controlled rather than leaning too heavily into
obvious peaks.
'You Know Me' moves into Afro House territory and brings Tea J into the collaboration.
More restrained in its approach, the track works around a steady groove and understated
melodic elements, giving it a more direct, late-night club feel.
Closing track 'Push It' features Lamedy and sits somewhere between the two sides of the
EP. Percussion takes a stronger role here, alongside a distinctive flute line that gives the
track its main character, while the production combines the melodic scale of 'Stay Close'
with the more rhythmic approach of 'You Know Me'.
