NEWTONE RECORDS ships worldwide from Osaka, Japan. Almost every item listed on our webshop can be sent overseas, and you can now order online with a credit card — no e-mail exchange required.
Add items to your cart from any product page, then open the overseas checkout.
How to order
- Add the items you want to your cart, just like a domestic order.
- Open Overseas checkout and choose your country to see an estimated shipping cost.
- Sign in (or create an account), enter your shipping address, and register your card.
- We pack and weigh your parcel, confirm the final amount, and charge your card.
Payment
You can pay by credit card (Visa / Mastercard / American Express / JCB, processed securely by Stripe) or by PayPal. Bank transfer and cash on delivery are not available for overseas orders. Everything is billed in Japanese Yen.
With PayPal we e-mail you an invoice once your parcel is packed and weighed, so you pay the confirmed total rather than an estimate. Your order is held for you until the invoice is paid.
Your card is not charged when you place the order. We register your card, then weigh the actual parcel and charge the confirmed total. If the final amount differs significantly from the estimate, we will e-mail you first.
Shipping
We use Japan Post. Two options are offered at checkout, depending on the weight and the destination:
- EMS (Express Mail Service) — fastest, tracked and insured. Up to 30 kg.
- International Air Packet — cheaper, tracked, no insurance. Up to 2 kg.
Shipping is estimated from the weight of the records and the packaging. The exact rate is confirmed once the parcel is weighed. Airmail and SAL (Economy Air) are no longer offered.
Where we ship & what it costs
Typical Air Packet rates from Osaka. A 12" single is roughly 300 g packed, so 1 kg is about two or three records. EMS costs more but is faster and insured.

Rates are a guide only and may change. The exact amount is calculated at checkout once you choose your country, and confirmed after your parcel is weighed. Air Packet is limited to 2 kg; heavier parcels go by EMS.
Shipping to Asia is genuinely cheap from Japan. Two or three records to Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong or Singapore cost about ¥1,600–1,900 — often less than half what the same parcel costs to Europe or the US.
Prices, duties and taxes
All prices are in Japanese Yen (JPY). The price shown is the price you pay for the goods — nothing is added at checkout except shipping.
Customs duties, VAT and import taxes are not included. Any charges levied by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient and are collected by the carrier or customs on delivery.
Please note
- This checkout is for physical items (vinyl, CD, cassette). Digital releases are handled separately, and availability depends on the title — each release is licensed for a specific set of countries.
- Used items and pre-orders can be shipped overseas.
- Japan Post currently suspends service to some destinations. If your country is not in the list at checkout, please contact us and we will let you know the situation.
