Baku sits at 40° north, Helsinki at 60°, different climates, different time zones, different ideas of what seasons actually mean. None of that mattered once Emran Badalov and Heidi B ended up working together, and the four tracks that came out of it, landing on Apparel Music September 11, 2026, treat that distance as the whole point rather than something to work around. It's the kind of pairing the label has quietly built its identity on, proof that music closes gaps faster than almost anything else. Badalov works out of Baku, and over the years has released under names like 909 Rave, Vinyl 33, Astral Motion and Second Mars. Heidi B, writing from Helsinki, runs on the opposite instinct, melodies that land on first listen, a voice that doesn't need volume to fill a room. Together, they're proof that distance was never really the obstacle people assume it is. Give It To Me (Original Mix) opens with the smallest gap of the four, vocal and groove pretty much locked together, playful and flirtatious, a structure that never feels forced. A Lady (Original Mix) stretches the distance through time instead, a couple of decades back, that cowbell pulls in textures straight out of the '80s and '90s, not as a nod but as a real throwback, the kind that makes the track feel older than it is, in the good way. Then the two Dub Mixes close the gap from the other side, stripping the vocals out entirely and leaving just the groove, proper tools for DJs who want the distance between body and beat to disappear completely. Four tracks built on the idea that gaps, between countries, between decades, between voice and rhythm, exist to be closed. Give It To Me EP drops via Apparel Music on September 11, 2026.
