Lucia Rango Canta Piero Ciampi is a precious expanded reissue of the 1967 album Lucia Rango Show, originally released in 2022 by Milan-based label Anni Luce on LP and CD, and now available digitally for the first time thanks to Four Flies Records.

This reissue follows the discovery of a previously unreleased, and long-believed-lost, recording: “Non chiedermi più”, the only vocal duet ever recorded by Livorno-born singer-songwriter Piero Ciampi, whose artistic partnership with Rango remained buried in obscurity for decades. Supervised by Ciampi himself, arranged and conducted by Maestro Elvio Monti, and enriched by the choral presence of I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni, the album blends Italy's great songwriting tradition with the jazz, orchestral and beat-music vibes that were so popular in the Italian Sixties.

Alongside new interpretations of several classics originally released by Ciampi in 1963 under the pseudonym Piero Litaliano, the release features four songs he wrote specifically for Rango’s ethereal voice. Having survived to this day solely through these performances, the tracks transform the album into a vital piece of Italian singer-songwriting history--long forgotten, yet highly sought after by collectors today.
