This album is a unique connection with Maloya music heritage and electronic music production. Something natural as Maloya is a linking point between Indian rhythm patterns and African rhythms (the island is in middle of the 2 continents). Maloya means « incantation, grief, pain, malaise » in many south African's dialects, and this music was prohibited end of the 50’s by French administration till 1976. Since 2009 Maloya is classified by UNESCO as « immaterial cultural heritage ».
