Lisa Harres, who performs with "Friends with Oranges" alongside Berlin-based musicians Ralph Heidel—whose visit to Japan also generated a lot of buzz—and Finn Ronsdorf (br). This is the label’s debut album: “Time As A Frame,” produced in collaboration with Ralph Heidel. Rich musicality and contemporary expression. A unique world—truly a talent. Released in 2025. (Saito)

▫️information▫️
『On their debut album Time As A Frame, singer, composer, poet, and filmmaker Lisa Harres establishes themself as a deeply attentive and poetic voice, exploring a rich blend of sound and emotion. Drawing from ten years of writing, collecting, and creating across disciplines, Harres crafts a delicate, introspective work that drifts between thought and memory, dream and observation. Distilled into hypnotic melodies and lyrical texts, the album is both fragile and powerful, balancing gentle, intimate moments with an underlying emotional force.

Recorded over two years with close collaborator and producer Ralph Heidel at Funkhaus Berlin, the album’s 9 songs and 3 interludes unfold in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Minimalist arrangements of piano, voice, guitar, and woodwinds are woven with orchestral textures and lyrical fragments in a free-flowing compositional style. Themes of friendship, solitude, love, and transformation echo throughout, often blurring the lines between the personal and the universal, the everyday and the mystical. The album is further expanded by Harres’ evocative music videos, which visually explore this same nuanced emotional terrain.

Time As A Frame is music that listens as much as it speaks—tender, cinematic, and quietly profound. A timeless debut, born from friendship and long hours of care, offering not just sound, but a space to rest, remember, and feel.
