Mexican duo Dark Punk Hippies have been known to disco music fans for a while thanks to their previous releases on Rayko's Rare Wiri-label and on renown Nang Records. Even though one half of the Hippies, the constantly touring DJ Pablo Garza is based Tulum while producer Victor Vallone is based in Mexico City, the talented team made sure their output stays on point for their debut release on NDYD Records.
'Yellow Bikini' is a quite high energy disco trip to the beach with a slow build up culminating in a party-like atmosphere towards the end of the track. The take of Disco Ghost on the original piece is more of a cosmic disco approach with a mellow and warm pulsating bass-line that takes you to hidden parties back in the jungle of the Yucatan peninsula. Finally, Traxsource Top 100 Disco-artist Vigi speeds up the pace and revamps 'Yellow Bikini' into a deep house-anthem for the coming summer. A perfect blend of music that should once again please fans of disco and house.
