AS we arrive at a decade of DUPPY we thought it was a good time to give life to some of our favorite tracks that never made their way onto official releases, so we have DUPPY VAULTED, 19 tracks of prime, DUPP’D-era-spanning excellence. From LOPO & BUTCHY FUEGO's dembow-inflected kayak bangers to an unreleased SIKKA RYMES/GENESIS HULL dubplate, ABU AMA’s rolling drums with chatter from SNIPER & LYRICAL WIZ & back around to a grip of BIG FLYTE & VELKRO heaters with I JAHBAR. The next decade of DUPPY is upon us & our clips are FULLY LOADED.

FOUNDED in 2011 after a chance meeting between producers BIG FLYTE & VELKRO (Cameron Stallones & M. Geddes Gengras) on their first trip to the island and JA vocalists I JAHBAR, Dayone & Early One, DUPPY GUN quickly blossomed from a series of 12” singles to the MULTIPLY VOL 1 compilation (Stones Throw 2014) & on to it’s current incarnation pumping out tunes with Bokeh Versions. Since the beginning, the mission has remained consistent: providing a link between amazing producers from all over the world with unique & amazing vocalists from the island & doing our part in trying to reverse a history of exploitation between the states & the Jamaican music world. 2021 saw the completion of DUPPY GUN/ROOLINGS studio & food shop in Spanish Town, JA, a project funded through bandcamp & merch sales that provides a community space for recording & a way for our artists to support themselves further.
