One of Greece's most talented comes to Definition:music. Vangelis Kostoxenakis presents Decline EP, expanding the artists a long list of releases. With three tracks, the EP begins to look pretty standard, until you press play. Vangelis has meticulously crafted a few diverse vibes here. Where the title track is a frantic sprint filled with stunning synthwork and a couple breathtaking moments, the second track, 'Sustained Soul' sits somewhere on the spectrum of tech-house, bouncy in its percussion and dark with its synths, a contradiction if you will, that Vangelis pulls of beautifully. And then we have the final track, 'Dawn of a Don', an almost purely-house track thats not afraid to take the wheel and explore to corners, complete with arp-plucks, vocal cuts and a very persuasive percussion.
