Uusi Aika from Finland offers meditative, deep jazz music for turbulent times. Already a fan favourite at Odysseus Festival 2022 in Helsinki, the band appears now on record for the first time on Helsinki's We Jazz Records. The group is formed around the quartet of Otto Eskelinen (alto sax, shakuhachi, alto clarinet), Johannes Sarjasto (piano, synth, accordion), Tapani Varis (double bass) and Amanda Blomqvist (drums, percussion). This music invites deep listening, zoning in and taking a deep breath.
