In "Masters Of The World," Piero Campanino (the son of better known Franco, who scored many erotic films and poliziotteschi between the ‘70s and ‘80s) recreates a soundscape that is perfectly suited to medieval or fantasy settings.
Through a skillful use of electro-acoustic layering (pads, synths, synthetic patterns, vocalizing, strings and pianos) and compelling, highly imaginative arrangements, Campanino plunges us into specific contexts, from court intrigue ("Devil's Laughter," "Princess Conspiracy") to battlefield tension (the drums and strings of "Battle Of the Giants"), to the epic triumph of victory ("Freedom Power"). But in addition to conspiracies and conflicts, there are sweet moments of peaceful quiet. These reach their peak in the final suite, "The Final Game Suite", which is a fantastic example of the range of Campanino's abilities.
