The Afro-Latin connections of Venezuela's coastal region meet London based producers Juan Laya & Jorge Montiel, for the 3rd edition of their latest musical venture: Electropical.
Jorge travels to Bolivar Film Studios - Caracas / Venezuela for a couple of days of musical experimentation & recordings, accompanied by some of the heaviest players in town, including no other than Mr Spiteri himself, J Pulia Liendo (Ex Pianist of Dimension Latina), and the emblematic Afro-Latin Drum ensemble: Grupo Madera, (between others) for the making of the tunes: "San Juan & Electropical".
As a perfect complement, the studio work gets continued back in London at Imagenes Recordings batcave, for the making of the Afro-Funky-Jazz conveyor of: "Spacial Paradise", plus an updated mix of their classic rework of "Sexmachina".
Meanwhile ongoing collaborator / remixer Pete Herbert joins the Tropical fest delivering another of his fingerlicking Balearic nuggets, infused with the Colombian roots flava of the Andean folk anthem: "Fruta Fresca" (previously re-visioned by Juan & Jorge for the first edition of this project and now re-optimized for club purposes by Mr PH).
Last but not least, here it comes the unexpected but very well suited collaboration of James Rod meets Juan & Jorge, with the epic club mix of "Spacial Paradise". Proto-Disco-House and the deepness of the Afrolatino spirit conjuring a magical spell into the farthest dimensions of musical imagination.
