Coming through with their debut release on NICE UP! Records, having previously dropped singles on labels such as Through These Eyes and Tuba, Folding City is a collaborative project between producers Blind Prophet and Self Evident. Based in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Canada respectively they throw influences such as dub, jungle, dancehall, grime and trap into the pot, their music travelling a colourful path through all of these genres taking in footwork, juke and halftime vibes along the way, yet never really sticking around long enough to be defined by one setting.

"What It Is" kicks things off with in a futuristic dancehall style, peppered by some choppy vocal samples and amens before mutating into all out jungle warfare. "Knife & Fork" does much of the same, taking things a little bit darker with its hard hitting digital bashment punches and sublow bass. Finishing things off is a VIP mix of "Knife & Fork" which strips the track back to its 90s dancehall influences for a minimal soundsystem shaker.
