Ghana's Linda Ayupuka performs fra fra ceremonialmusic over rapid fire tempos and hypnotic drum loopsthat reference an international palette of electronic dance styles from Malian DJ-led Balani Show street sound, electro-acholi to modern dancehall/RnB.
On God Created Everything Linda captures the rawness and immediacy of early-career recordings from the likes of Oumou Sangaré and Rokia Traoré to put herself forward as a new West African vocal talent.
Her producer Francis Ayamga (Top Link studios) is the live drummer for Ghana's King Ayisoba and produced the majority of tracks on the King's recent album for Glitterbeat and on God Created Everything he lifts Linda's vocals skywards via his playful production of laptop DJ samples and crashing drum pads.
