The Rong classic, "54B" by Mudd gets the Ray Mang treatment on Mudd's new label Leng. Mang took all the original parts and toughened them up for the dancefloor.

There's a whopping nine minute mix on the A-side, replete with jittery acid lines, sparkling Fender Rhodes keyboards, atmospheric violin stabs and a suitably hefty bassline to get the crowd moving. With a percussive breakdown in the middle and uplifting synths throughout, we like this rather a lot. Balearic house (or, with those Metro Area touches, is it nu-disco?) with a bit of oomph!

As well as the main mix, there are a couple of bonus refixes on the flip; the 'Acid Reflux' version, with a touch more acid, and the 'Bonus Beats', with a touch more percussion. DJ support comes from Dan Idjut, Bill Brewster and more.
