“Mas Voçê Não Veio” (translates as “But You Didn’t Come”) is, above all, a message, a message meant for followers of Afro-Indigenous religions. This “message” is a card up the sleeve, something that invites reflection in its purest form. It’s a message from Pombo-gira (multi-faceted spiritual entity in Brazil) - a message of love.

Presto do Coco sings the truth behind romantic frustration, while Filosofino ties together the tropes of advice to be followed. This combination becomes possible through the sonic alchemy of FurmigaDub, who places all this musicality inside a gourd and mixes it all together as if it were the belly button of the world. The song was selected for the 6th Paraíba Music Festival, making it all the way to the finals.

Furmiga, Presto and Filosofino united the rhythm of samba de coco with the flow of rap, and named it "Macumbarima." And, to define it even further, it’s coco, but it’s also rap—and why not dub?

FurmigaDub is the project of Fabiano Formiga, a multi-instrumentalist from Paraíba who graduated from the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). He has played in the State Symphony Orchestras, reggae bands, heavy metal bands, brega bands, samba-rock bands, and coco de roda groups. Since 2011, he has dedicated himself to producing original tracks, blending music from Paraíba’s popular culture with electronic music aesthetics. His songs have been winning over audiences at major Brazilian music and electronic music festivals, where he is a constant presence, both in DJ sets and live performances. In addition to composing his own music, FurmigaDub is responsible for rescuing and recording songs by masters of popular culture who have never been recorded before, helping to preserve and spread these unique works of Brazilian culture.

Presto do Coco is a musician, composer, poet, and workshop facilitator for popular percussion. He is the creator and founder of the popular culture group Seu Zé quer Coco, as well as the group, Sambada de Coco do Castelo Branco. Recognized in the state of Paraíba for his artistic contributions to the popular culture of traditional peoples, he has also been awarded the title of Master of Popular Culture for his work in maintaining the tradition of Coco de Terreiro in Paraíba.

Filosofino is a rapper and poet from Paraíba. His work stands out for its strong influences from jazz, soul, ragga, and Afro-Northeastern oral and musical traditions. In live performances, he was awarded "Best Performer" and "Best Song" at the 7th Paraíba Music Festival (2024), as well as "Best Performer" and "2nd Best Song" at the 3rd Paraíba Music Festival (2020). With three albums and numerous singles released between 2018 and 2022, Filosofino has over 20 songs to his name, along with various audiovisual content such as music videos, live sessions, and more.
