Koshi Group
The Ashton brothers started the Koshi group concept in their teens. Needing cash to get the project started they scoured flea markets and junk shops for rare records to sell. This quickly became the choice source for inspiration and an income. With these funds they expanded the Amiga 500 recording studio with an arsenal of synths and drum machine and after a few shed jam sessions they had the laid down the first recordings.
Using a process normally reserved for antique masters each track was recorded on 1/4" tape before being baked to enhance its characteristics. Two Days After Yesterday has been a labour of love. Pushing sonic barriers and structure creating a mix of futurism with nostalgia.
The sound of the Album is hard to pigeon hole, it's edgy but accessible, experimental but still danceable, Floyd, Lotus, Tanabe and Shadow meet in a dingy digital tape exchange…. or something like that….
