Born in a small town, La Línea (Spain), Rafa’s first experience with music was playing “La Lambada” on a tiny Yamaha keyboard when he was 12. He started playing electric guitar in metal bands and a few years later moved to London and got into different styles of music. Back in Spain he started to learn the art of making tunes as well as studying jazz and classical double bass. At the moment he plays in several bands with different backgrounds and styles from jazz to flamenco. His influences are diverse but consist mostly of jazz, funk, latin and flamenco. He’s also a demon double bass player.
