Angus and Alex are the friends and bandmates behind Goodvibes Sound. Despite only starting to create music together in 2019 the two released their debut album "The Institute" in 2022 - a blend of upbeat discofied soul, indie doused in a heavy dose of psychedelic vibes. Inspired by 1970s California, hot tubs and beach bars, Goodvibes Sound craft groovy psych-pop tunes with a disco twist. A simple yet powerful way to place your subconscious mind in direct contact with the 'universal vibe-o-sphere', if you like. The duo are really interested in mindfulness and presence, and how to live in the moment, given all the distractions of modernity around us. Their music is set in the world of the Goodvibes Institute, a mythical research body exploring methods to develop consciousness throughout the world. Goodvibes Sound is the audio division of the organisation. Their album "The Institute" follows the story of two characters who escape from their busy city lives to discover the Goodvibes Institute. Remixer Matt Hughes is a UK producer, who has worked closely with TSTD for a long time now. This dry, deep, minimal funk remix reminds us of Prince and is an absolute highlight in the TSTD universe so far.
