Melbourne instrumentalist/producer Dufresne steps in with a deep, chugging house rework of Bubbly, drawing on his signature blend of jazz-funk textures and low-end propulsion. The remix bridges the spaced-out spirit of the original with the dancefloor drive of classic deep house.
Originally released on February 14, 2020,Yes Doctor was the debut LP from Henry Hicks aka Horatio Luna. An explorative statement rooted in house, but fused with dub, jazz, and bruk, it carved Horatio's name deep into the bedrock of Melbourne's underground.
Dufresne — known for his standout cut Pick Up / Galaxy on Brownswood's Sunny Side Up compilation — brings his own signature to the table: electric, soulful, and steeped in the DNA of Melbourne's jazz-house crossover scene. Under his real name, Jimmy Bowman, Dufresne was also part of the original Horatio Luna live band, contributing to the project's early sound and spirit.
