The new single release by Samuel Rohrer (synths, electronics, percussion) and João Paulo Esteves da Silva (piano) follows on the aesthetic from their previous collaboration, which is documented on two full length albums. Now they are inviting some additional electronic elements to their music. Characterized by meaningful pauses and subtractions, this latest outing is a strong and mature demonstration of the fruitful partnership that exists between them and more undeniably perceptible musical features: The willingness to consider the value of the spaces between the notes is one immediately recognizable feature of their sonic terrain, but far from the only one.
