Gabriel Prokofiev is a London-based composer, producer, DJ, and founder of the Nonclassical record label. Dark Lights is the first release from his forthcoming album—his first on Nonclassical in over a decade.


Prokofiev's distinctive sound draws on his background as a producer of hip-hop, grime, and electro, as well as his earlier studies in electroacoustic classical music at York and Birmingham universities, resulting in a compelling mix of orchestral sounds, analogue synths and 808-style beats.

This single features a remix by Adhelm [a.k.a Beni Giles] who is a London-based artist and producer, best known for his production on Lianne La Havas' Ivor Novello-winning eponymous album as well as the FAME European Youth Orchestra.
