The fifth instalment of CoOp Presents' 'One-Shots' series welcomes Last Nubian with a heavyweight acid bruk cut, 'Ring The Alarm'.
South London's Tre Wright has been steadily making his mark with releases spanning house, bruk, soul and hip hop, shaped by UK club sounds that influenced him growing up, from grime to garage to reggae.
His standout releases - from the acclaimed 'Ghetto Child' (backed by Pete Tong & Mixmag) to 'Babylon Shuffle' on Touching Bass and, most recently, 'We Celebrate Us' on Eglo Records - have cemented him as a rising force in the underground.
Beyond solo work and his Balamii Radio residency, Wright also performs with Ships of the Pharaohs, and has brought his sound to various venues & festivals, including We Out Here.
For his CoOp Presents debut, he drops tough bruk drums, a killer vocal hook and creeping 303 acid – another One-Shot designed for the heads.
'Ring The Alarm' is out Sep 19th (Bandcamp exclusive), then Sep 26th on all DSPs.
