Counterchange continues with a full EP from long-running duo Tapefeed.
The Fabric (London) residents and Inveterate label creators present vital new work, in their own words, "exploring the transformative power of instability... in sound... and personal growth.''
The five-track EP channels multi-faceted club techno embracing a trippy, life-of-its-own energy: intuitive, lively arrangements are paired with textural and precise production. Each piece shifts the perspective, from high energy to more hypnotic structures, always allowing the DJ space to work amongst the grooves. The result is a contrast-full collection of tracks capturing subtle telepathic messaging and cunning 'Phantom Signals'.
Far from viewing instability as mere chaos to be avoided, Tapefeed embrace it as a powerful catalyst for creativity and sonic evolution. The EP is a real milestone for the duo, having spent the last decade honing their sound palette of cutting edge techno-electronics.
All tracks W & P by Tapefeed, 2025. Mastered by Patrik Skoog. Artwork by Ed Davenport.
