Shatter Hands doubles down on his last album "A Show of Hands Vol.1" with a mesmerizing live album. The release captures a quartet performance at Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen, as part of an exhibition called "Surreal on Paper" in September 2025.
Whilst Shatter Hands himself was playing his familiar sampler and MIDI controller setup, he invited Viktoria Søndergaard on Vibraphone, Flavia Huarachi on Flute and Vocals and Sofie Birch on 4-track Tape Recorder, Percussion, Sither and Sampler for this unique performance.
"Live At SMK Fridays" is not your average Shatter Hands & Friends concert due to SMK's concrete and glass facades. Here the experience is more ambient and less groove based. It shines new light on his already released work (mostly from "A Show of Hands Vol.1") but also foreshadows his upcoming album "A Show of Hands Vol. 2", with three unreleased tracks being premiered at the concert.
The live album, just like "A Show of Hands Vol. 1", is out on Ouvo Records May 15, 2026.
