Lisathe are a Sydney-based instrumental trio comprising Miles Thomas (drums), Brendan Clark (bass) and Ollie Thorpe (guitar/pedal steel). Counted among the most in-demand and individualistic instrumentalists in the country, the band draw on a wide range of influences — from Scandinavian composers to American artists such as Bill Frisell, Daniel Lanois and Ry Cooder — to develop a sound that sits across rock, jazz and experimental music.
'Dream' is the debut single from Watch Out For The Horse Behind You, the trio's sophomore album and follow-up to their self-titled debut of reworked material by other composers. This record marks a shift toward original composition, with the band drawing on a decade of playing together and a shared desire to capture something immediate and personal. Recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Marrickville by Simon Berckelman and mixed by Miles Thomas at Ladder Studios, the album is released on La Sape Records.
