A group of exceptional experts has calculated that the epicentre of groovy minimalism is located at Albisriederplatz in Zurich. Rolf Saxer's latest track bears witness to this: a sparse drumbeat, a bone-dry bassline, wistful synths and a haunting voice, complemented by layers of relentless percussion. Balthasar Freitag, who has made the occasional pit stop at Hardau Records in the past, takes things up a notch with his compelling, melodic remix.
