In Giuliano Sorgini’s imagination, Africa was a mysterious continent teeming with exoticism and desire—a place alive with rich, evocative power, defined by wild landscapes and endless horizons.
This new digital single, “I misteri del mondo” (which translates as The Mysteries of the World), captures his deep love for untamed, unspoilt nature, and for an Africa imagined as a still unfettered, primeval, and uncharted land. Originally featured in Savana Selvaggia, an enigmatic 1976 RAI documentary that has since been lost to time, the track remainedunreleased in any format until now.
Infused with the same spellbinding atmosphere of seminal works like Africa Oscura, “I misteri del mondo” is quintessential Sorgini. Utilizing many of the elements that defined his oeuvre and its distinctive aesthetic within the universe of Italian library music—electronic drums, cosmic synthesizers, and Minimoog lines—he crafts a main theme that is at once romantic and elegiac, in pure Zoo Folle style.
Available for the very first time on digital platforms—ahead of its physical release on 7” vinyl on 10 July 2026—this trackstands as the latest precious gem to be retrieved from the maestro’s personal archive, revealing a composer whose work, decades later, still sounds brilliantly ahead of its time.
