Since his debut on Altzmusica in '17, Daisuke Kondo has steadily released music worldwide on labels such as Bosconi, Vibraphone Recordings, and Jazz Cabbage. Track A1, “The Blue Line,” features a twisted bassline with an acid-like quality and a cool, wind-slicing groove, while Track A2, “Summer Suite,” exudes a nicely smoldering sense of “blackness.” As the title suggests, B1 “Water Proof” features a water-repellent groove that creates a refreshing atmosphere, while B2 “Harbor Place” combines a rhythmic, groovy tempo with a somewhat emotional vibe. This is his second release from Jitney Music—a relationship that began when his work caught the eye of staff at Gramaphone Records, a long-standing record shop in Chicago, the birthplace of house music.
