A compilation from SKYLAX featuring a collection of eccentric artists. John Heckle of MATHEMATICS’ raw analog house style contributes two tracks. High-speed machine beats. He’s creating some truly niche sounds. An artist named MASTER MUZIKBOX (sample_2). He’s a French artist who apparently also releases on KARAT. At first listen, behind loops of samples that seem deliberately quirky, there’s a bell ringing on a different timeline, along with incredibly gritty synth work. This mysterious, crazy vibe is insane. Luv Jam also contributes a track, featuring a deep kick and synths. The meticulous use of effects creates a dubby, raw sound, and the development after the break is great too!
