For over 20 years, PEPE BRADOCK has been experimenting with innovative electronic music centered around house music. Chapter 2 of “Dactilonomy”—a five-part series available exclusively on vinyl—has arrived.

"Index," a single-sided, full-length track on A-SIDE released at 45 RPM, spans 7 minutes and 20 seconds. Layers of soundscapes, rhythms, and details unfold chaotically like a rambling dream, leaving a mysterious sensation as if fragments were weaving a narrative together. It’s a breathtaking soundscape, thoroughly imbued with the artist’s philosophy through its sonic architecture, complex rhythms, and multi-layered grooves. The B-SIDE features two tracks just over 2 minutes long and two tracks lasting 4 to 5 minutes. Each one exists in its own distinct world. (Original Japanese text by Saito)

Bis Repetita, the retour of «doigté » - Counting on the fingers leads us to the « Index », displaying the non exhaustive list of sonic bits used on twenty years of Pepe’s phonograms. To Dance or not to Dance that is probably not the question, but definitely the answer to the A Side. Vice Versa, the B side whispers « Ur Host »: an army of electronic arpeggios welcoming an atmospheric cure for after hours, introducing « Pitcher » not the carnivorous plant but the friendly musical path to the strike zone; « Danske*Mansus », a refreshing retro futuristic techno-ball, housing ardent grooves and cold sweats. Wandering our way out to sync and lock this second chapter, « Inter-Oger » fades to esoteric dreamscapes.
Please enjoy this index of coordinated sequences and chopped waveforms!
