Active in the ’90s, he released works on labels such as Casual, Relief, Planet E, and Peace Frog before suddenly vanishing from the public eye and becoming a mysterious figure. Even after his disappearance, artists such as SND, BEN UFO, and AUTECHRE continued to pay homage to his work; in recent years, Spencer Kincy—known as GEMINI from Chicago—has been reevaluated and has become a cult figure. His 1999 EP, *Get Down EP*, is being reissued on vinyl by the UK label *Anotherday Records*, which has reissued many works by him and BOO WILLIAMS. (Original Japanese text by Saito)
