A collaborative archival project by Light In The Attic, Laurie Anderson, and the Lou Reed Archive. The second installment in the series, following the Grammy-nominated *Words & Music, May 1965*! Lou Reed’s final solo album from 2007, produced and released privately. [Colored Vinyl · Glacial Blue].

Following the discovery of wonderful pre-debut recordings, the Lou Reed Archive takes us back in time to his later works. “Hudson River Wind Meditations” is music for tai chi and meditation—practices he was deeply immersed in at the time—released by Sounds True, a label specializing in so-called New Age and meditative music.
“As an aid to meditation, Tai Chi, and bodywork, and as background music for daily life—to replace the dissonance of everyday life with an unpredictable, new, orderly sound. A new sound, freed from preconceptions. ...Eventually, friends who had heard this music asked me to make copies for them. After that, I composed two more works with the same intention: to relax the body, mind, and spirit, and to promote meditation,” the artist himself has stated. Produced in collaboration with his longtime partner, producer Hal Willner, this work explores the effects of electronic music, the amplitude of sustained tones, and the changing interference of wavelengths—an album that has been well-received by fans of New Age, drone, and experimental music. This release features a 2LP set with meticulous attention to sound quality, a gatefold sleeve, and a 20-page booklet comprising interviews, essays, and previously unpublished photos by Lou Reed, as well as a Q&A with his partner, Laurie Anderson. The vinyl is available in three colors. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s a labor of love from *Light In The Attic*. We have it in stock. (Original Japanese text by Saito)
