An addictive groove with a mysteriously subdued energy. Even the faint dog bark sample adds to the mystery—a low-flying, weird minimal modular techno track! Already generating buzz for its high quality, this is the third release from the Munich-based, vinyl-only label 〈DIFFERENT TIMES〉. Featuring Berlin veteran MICHAEL MELCHNER, who has also contributed to 〈LOVE LETTERS FROM OSLO〉 and 〈CLUB VISION〉.

The latest release from 〈DIFFERENT TIMES〉—which has been garnering attention after both ERIC OS, who headlined the label’s debut, and ADI (catalog no. 2) sold out immediately—is here! “New World Supermarket” (sample 1) is an eerie, minimal lo-fi techno track featuring a low-end, meandering bassline, modular synths, and hazy sample collages. From “Anatomicouture” (sample 2)—where a swinging bassline locks in with a light drum machine—to the rest of the track, this is machine madness defined by its distinctive, low-slung, enigmatic grooves. Limited edition press. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
