A track from last year’s mini-album *Ryokan*, featuring a daydream-like, phantasmal, trippy summer tune on Side A “Umi” (sample 1) is featured on the A-side, while the B-side features the “Dubmi” (sample 2) version—a more laid-back, deep, and dope dub track with a screwed-out vibe that drifts languidly at the bottom of the deep sea.
Blending the vibe of ’90s classic hip-hop with lo-fi funkiness, this track features a track built from old Casio tones, karaoke machines, and vintage toy synths, with modern poetic Japanese rap and mellow vocals drifting over them—the quintessence of a lo-fi home-recording style that seems to scoop up the lyricism sunk deep in the recesses of memory.
