From Berlin-based “Sound Metaphors” comes a reissue in the series by “Exist Dance,” a key label in the West Coast rave and underground dance scene. This installment features a trip-hop and downtempo masterpiece by Tranquility Bass—a project by the label’s founders, Tom Chasteen and Michael Kandel— a reissue of their 1991 track “They Came In Peace.” Inspired by Zen teachings, this classic track draws on the West Coast’s psychedelic culture and counterculture movements.　The original version was later included on Mo'Wax’s acclaimed compilation *Headz*.
