Olav H. Hauge, a Norwegian poet who lived as an apple farmer and was deeply devoted to haiku and Chinese poetry. Using audio recordings of his recitations made during his lifetime as source material, this work places the acoustic and rhythmic aspects of his poetry at the core of the music, boldly transforming the poems through sampling, morphing, cut-ups, and effects processing to create a new artistic form. A unique and ambitious work, released in 2025, that fuses these poems with a highly improvisational ensemble incorporating elements of traditional music, centered around the Hardanger fiddle. 140g vinyl.
