Looking back through their catalog reveals nothing but groundbreaking releases and key artists who creatively shape the current scene. From *ACCIDENTAL MEETINGS*—a pivotal collective based in Bristol driving innovation in the scene—comes a collection of works by MARISKA BAARS’ solo project, SOCCER COMMITTEE. A solid composition consisting solely of her own voice, an acoustic guitar, and delicate loops. What truly stands out is the minimalist slowcore that makes full use of silence—a design that intentionally seeks out the space needed for timbres and melodies to resonate fully. In addition to the space created by the slow tempo, the natural reverberation of the room and the faint hum of the equipment stimulate the listener’s imagination, resulting in beautiful sounds and textures that evoke a sense of nostalgia even upon first listen.
