A unique mix with significant historical value from the next-generation label 〈ACCIDENTAL MEETINGS〉, which is gaining attention as Bristol’s new music community! Journalist STEVE BARKER—a legendary British radio producer and host of BBC Radio Lancashire’s long-running program “On the Wire”—presents this rare archival work by DJ OLD RAT. Spanning 90 minutes that race through history, this release focuses on the Chinese underground scene from 2002 to 2010—a period marked by vibrant crossovers between tradition and the avant-garde within the framework of electronic music, ranging from folk-breakcore fusions to mutant dancehall and acid flashcore.
