This popular collaborative project—featuring GRANT, a deep house artist who rose to prominence as a West Coast house icon early in his career and has since relocated to France, and Swiss analog master DAN PIU—makes its long-awaited comeback on their own label, *WHEN THE MORNING COMES*, after more than a year (which feels quick, considering their last release was two years ago). The tracks range from “The Geometry Of Leaving” (sample 1)—where percussion and samples blend seamlessly into a dreamy, expansive synthscape—to “Suspended Motion” (sample 2), which takes on a smoky feel thanks to its acoustic-sounding double bass and jazz drums.
