This is also amazing! It features five tracks each from Roberta Vandervort and Sally Townes—a total of 10 songs—from their self-produced recordings made between 1977 and 1983. It’s a fantastic journey spanning jazz-funk, soft rock, AOR, and folk—though, interestingly, these two artists actually had no connection; this is a compilation curated by L.A.-based Forager Records. Rather than just another compilation from the 2020s streaming era, it’s a gem that truly showcases exceptional taste.
Track List

At first glance, the distinctly ’70s-style artwork might lead you to think this is just another reissue, but it turns out to be an edited split release with a modern cover design—an intriguing production that makes you wonder if it’s a reimagining of rare groove or perhaps another ’90s revival.

Suitable for all generations. Undeniably good music!!!! Every track is great, but personally, I love Roberta Vandervort’s “Hey Now (sample2),” which has a Northeastern Brazilian vibe—though there are plenty of other great tracks too! This one’s a must-have on vinyl! (Original Japanese text by Shhhhh)
