Inspired by his encounter with Jane Birkin, he is now based in Paris, where he performs with orchestras worldwide and serves as a music director for various productions. This Ghibli song by Nobuyuki Nakajima is a cover of Aoi Teshima’s “Sayonara no Natsu,” the theme song from the 2011 film *From Up on Poppy Hill* directed by Goro Miyazaki.
