Earth Boys are back with their third Shall Not Fade release, once again blessing us with a warm, tonal, percussive house cut straight out of their hometown of Brooklyn.
Earth Boys form part of a rich lineage of New York house duos. Two that specifically warrant comparison are Masters At Work with their latin jazz-inspired house and more recently, AceMoMa with their tuneful, lysergic offerings. ‘Froggy’s World’ comes with an assortment of different flavours, beginning with swung deep house grooves on the A-side and mutating into 808 State-esque tribal house with dynamic percussion. Finally, ‘Bonita’ is a sultry 100BPM number that cruises along a dembow rhythm.
