London-based duo DDWY—whose debut album on Public Possession became a long-running hit and who have also released music on Test Pressing Recordings—are releasing a new album on Public Possession. Track A1 is “Drink The Real Flowers,” a track reminiscent of the Flower Movement—where the influence of the Second Summer of Love crossed over into Britrock and pop—as well as trip-hop and the UK sound of the ’90s. Side B features the dubby, stepper-style track “Told You, Tell Me (05:40 min).” The release also includes a remix by UK artist Stone, who is also known for his work under the alias Mistareez. (Saito)

Our favorite London duo „ddwy“ are back on Public Possession with a 4 track EP titled „Tell Me, Told You“.
„Drink the real flowers“ is soft, emotional, cinematic stuff, giving hard late 90s early 2000s Trip Hop vibes. Check the B-Side for a very lush D.J. mix by „Stone“.
The title giving „Tell Me, Told You“ is peaking psychedelia, a warm, intense hug.
„Told You, Tell Me“ is orientated more towards the dancefloor and can surely create some serious ecstasy if played in the right moment.
In all this, the multiple layers of sounds intertwined with Naomi’s voice create one remarkable, organic whole that is full testament to the continuous evolution of these super talented musicians.
Dive in, fall slowly, land very gently.
