And so it does. The echoes of the past reverberate through today's headlines, where the rise of fascist leaders in some of the world's most powerful nations has turned the clock back on human rights, dignity, and solidarity. Their patriarchal, authoritarian regimes thrive on division, fear, and the systematic oppression of the most vulnerable: refugees, migrants, people from the Global South, women, and queer communities. The weight of this reality can feel paralyzing - like standing in the eye of a storm, watching the world spin out of control.

It was in the quiet of a national park, during a music retreat, that ASA 808 first wrote what would become "Samsara Spirals". Originally a tribute to Throwing Snow (who played live at a TOYS party before), the track now carries the speed of our moment - capturing the spinning, relentless momentum of the news, the struggle to keep our footing, and the need to catch a breath. Because to stay helpful, sane, and resistant, we have to pause sometimes.

"Samsara Spirals", out April 24th on the TOYS Berlin label, is an invitation to do just that. It's not here to fix anything. It's here to remind us that even in the chaos, we can find moments of clarity, connection, and the strength to keep going - to stand in solidarity, and to refuse to let history's darkest rhymes go unchallenged.
