??? ????? follows on from ??????????, completing the London-based pianist and producer's twin-pronged debut. Together, these EPs showcase ao's brilliantly unique vision: ecstatic melodies that interlock, lace and fold into themselves as they tumble through the jaunty void.
For ??? ?????, ao passes the magnifying glass over five gleeful vignettes - illuminating a carnival of errors, circuitry imbued with cheeky ghouls and glitches in the petri dish. The sense of urgency has ratcheted up a notch, most tangibly on the fevered chicanes carving up 'adapter in use', and the giddy skronk of 'nowhere to hide'. The title track is nothing if not a certified heater.
