'Earthshine' is the debut album from composer and experimental techno producer Sednoid.
An aggregate of vital elements spanning cinematic ambience, crushing bass, other-worldly synthesis and deconstructed techno, Sednoid always seeks atypical production methods to identify with and meditate over for each piece.
Using a hybrid setup folding together sounds made in Supercollider, Ableton and on a streamlined Modular system, Sednoid's precise sound is generative, emotional and already highly developed.
Morphing broken beat club studies are abridged by tense melodic works. In the artist's own words, "the harmonies use custom intonation, and I try to work with form and dramaturgy in a fun way... to find a balance that doesn't put people off... is familiar enough, yet still surprising with a twist."
Despite the technical approach, 'Earthshine' graces us with a spirited, dynamic and sensitive exploration of contemporary electronic music constructs.
Viewed from above, a rogue satellite circumventing the landscapes of digital and analog sonics, Sednoid captures high resolution and heady audio scans. Meticulously edited and arranged, the end result is a lasting portal into the artists' process and unique voice.
