GUERILLA WELFARE is a duo consisting of BRIAN SCHULTZE and CURTIS RUPTASH that has been active since the 1980s. According to Discogs, only three works from the period between 1986 and 1991 remain, and this album features tracks selected from those releases. It was released by the label MUSIQUE PLASTIQUE, which also released VISIBLE CLOAKS’ debut album. It’s a meticulously crafted work where collages, guitar strumming, and minimalist basslines intertwine masterfully, clearly demonstrating a carefully calculated compositional approach.
