Veteran artist ROB SMITH, who has been active since the early 2000s primarily under the name 〈TOUCHIN' BASS〉, delivers a solid mix of rolling acid and heavy breakbeats. In particular, the synth on A2, “Burnt Out” (sample 3), which evokes the sound of a dial being turned, is unique and excellent. Above all, the B-side by SERGE GEYSEL—who has released work on 〈MINDWAVES〉—is outstanding. Both tracks maintain a dark atmosphere throughout while showcasing technical beats and sci-fi synths—delivering compelling tracks aimed at the dance floor without ever feeling stagnant.
